Disappointed in this statement, Congressman. The courts function as they should, and a jury decided the outcome, for better or worse. We absolutely cannot risk further eroding g confidence in our justice system.

I think this stems from the history of America. The US was built by immigrants who took a leap of faith, leaving their families behind to sail across treacherous oceans in search of a better life. That's a massive risk. These risk-taking genes are still present today imo.

I'm European. I recently visited the USA for the first time since 2018, hitting up Las Vegas and New York City. What I witnessed left me stunned. 15 American oddities I still can't wrap my head around:

@AshleyGWinter I had a friend in middle school that still snacked on frozen peas bc her mom did something similar when she was a baby.

My 15 month old woke up in a crabby mood & I was about to make her a frozen waffle & she started screaming for it so I handed it to her thinking she would reject it and instead she straight up ate it frozen.

@EmilieMcKiernan I agree about the traditional schools, but other than Brandeis, I don’t think there are really elem feeders tied to Manual in the same way. There are MS’s that send lots of kids there, but as a school with a high % of kids getting into YPAS/Manual, we get kids from all over

Found out that one of my friends has always had an empty stocking on Christmas, despite filling her husband and kids’, and while I know my response should have been to text her husband like “DUDE” I am instead toting her 12-year-old daughter to Target on a mission this week

@sheologian I am finding it hard to believe people don’t have a little more empathy. Lots of people struggle with the transition from college to full time work. It’s ok to feel overwhelmed. People can be real forgetful assholes sometimes.

Things I’ve done when I missed my meds: rear-ended a car, left my wallet in a grocery cart (five times), multiple cooking misadventures, left my car running for 90 minutes after I got home and just…didn’t turn it off.

@Malcolm4KY Hell no. Cant vote for someone that supported closing schools. He cited people for attending church and going to parks during Covid. Basically went along with everything this joke of a president did. Glad he got sports gambling done though.

@athkat Peoples’ problems with JCPS run a LOT deeper than yesterday’s incompetencies. Teachers with an agenda other than reading, writing, math and history, deserve the largest amount of ire.
