@UcheMaryOkoli You're right. The SSPX should not have disobeyed the Vicar of Christ. But the Vatican should still learn from this and reject some of the modern approaches it's taking in terms of ecumenism and the liturgy, and re-free the Latin mass like what Benedict did under his great papacy.

One thing St. Pope John Paul II and Pope Leo XIV have in common? Both took disciplinary action against the SSPX over disobedience to the Holy See. 😂 St. Pope John Paul II declared the illicit episcopal consecrations of 1988 a schismatic act and imposed excommunication on the bishops involved. Pope Leo XIV, for his part, excommunicated the SSPX leadership following their continued acts of disobedience. Communion with Peter has always mattered in the Catholic Church. 🙏 Habemus Papam!!

One beautiful advantage of the Novus Ordo Mass celebrated versus populum (facing the people) is that the faithful can clearly witness sacred moments like this where we can see the priest elevate the sacred Host.

It can also help reduce the risk of the Sacred Host being taken away or otherwise mishandled, thereby helping to protect the Blessed Sacrament from desecration. Above all, every Catholic should receive Our Lord with faith, reverence, and in accordance with the norms of the Church.

Also, we're acting like Protestants even properly follow Sola Scriptura, because if this was the case, all their other beliefs would collapse in on them. For example, Sola Fide.

@k_catholic_ @milesfortunae01 @Preslavets Idk where you heard that but that is completely wrong. It is the same KJV as from 1611 with the exact same translations. Do you even know what protestants believe? Sola scripture, it kind of defeats the purpose if they change it.

The Protestant translations are warped and translated to express error, and leads souls to error. Therefore, it is morally in-line to burn a Protestant bible, as it is not an authentic Word of God.
