𝗕𝗨𝗦 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗘𝗗 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗛𝟭𝗠 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗔𝗨𝗟 A routine bus journey came to an abrupt end for one passenger after detectives from the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) intercepted a Nairobi-bound bus and uncovered a stash of heroin worth approximately Sh1 million. Acting on a tip off, the detectives mounted an operation along the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway at Taru, where they flagged down the bus for a search. What appeared to be an ordinary passenger screening quickly turned into a major narcotics bust. Seated at Seat No. 29, the suspect was found in possession of a brown bag that concealed far more than personal belongings. Inside were four sachets of heroin weighing a total of 300 grammes, along with Sh95,000 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime. The suspect, 38-year-old Brian Tabu Owuor, was immediately arrested and is currently in police custody undergoing processing pending arraignment. Meanwhile, the recovered heroin and the cash have been securely detained as exhibits as investigations gather pace. #FichuaKwaDCI. 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 The National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA) today officially launched the Counter-Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Training Programme, with the Academy Commandant, Mr. Ibrahim Jillo, presiding over the opening ceremony. The training, facilitated by CIVIPOL, brought together participants from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), further strengthening inter-agency collaboration in the fight against human trafficking. In his opening remarks, Mr. Jillo underscored that trafficking in persons remains a serious threat to human dignity, national security, and global stability, emphasizing the need for stronger partnerships and harmonized operational responses to combat the crime effectively. “This vice remains one of the most serious forms of transnational organized crime and a grave violation of human rights. It exploits the most vulnerable members of our society while undermining national security. Addressing this crime demands a coordinated, victim-centred, and multi-agency approach,” he said. Mr. Jillo noted that the Standard Operating Procedures have been developed to provide clear operational guidance to officers involved in the prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution, and overall response to trafficking in persons cases. He observed that the SOPs will promote professionalism, consistency, accountability, and seamless coordination among all agencies mandated to combat the crime. The Commandant further encouraged the Border Management and Migration (BMM) Programme and CIVIPOL to leverage the well-established mechanisms and extensive global capabilities of INTERPOL, noting that its worldwide network remains a vital asset in disrupting trafficking syndicates and enhancing cross-border cooperation. On his part, Mr. Marco Bufo, the CIVIPOL Regional Coordinator, reaffirmed CIVIPOL’s commitment to supporting Kenya’s efforts to combat human trafficking through strengthened institutional capacity, enhanced inter-agency cooperation, and the effective implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures. He noted that harmonized operational approaches are essential to improving investigations, protecting victims, and strengthening the criminal justice response to trafficking in persons. Mr. Jillo further expressed appreciation on behalf of the Director DCI, to all stakeholders and development partners whose commitment and collaboration made both the development of the Standard Operating Procedures and the successful organization of the training programme possible. The opening ceremony brought together representatives from the DCI, CIVIPOL, and other key stakeholders, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening Kenya’s institutional capacity and advancing a coordinated response to human trafficking.

To show you how barbaric the Ruto regime is: we are informed that the DCI arrived at Halima Ngache's place, took her phone, and abducted her, leaving her young son at the door completely confused. They even seized the laptop, phone, and tablet of a friend of hers, leaving that friend with absolutely no way to call for help. They reportedly carried out this raid using a white Subaru. The friend immediately began a desperate search, going first to Central Police, she wasn't there. They went to Urban Police-nothing. They met the CCIO, who told them to check Nyali Police Station-they found nothing. They moved on to Bamburi, Mjambere, and returned to Central-still nothing. Finally, they checked Mbaraki, and still found absolutely nothing. As we speak, even her family has no idea where she is being held. I have spent the whole of today making frantic calls in Kenya, but we have nothing. Halima Ngache has been abducted. The DCI hasn’t even bothered to explain where she is. The issued a vague statement. We must speak up for Halima. Whether or not someone is linked to a government-critical account should never be a basis for an enforced disappearance or arbitrary detention. We must Speak up!

Ministry of Health

Research, innovation and evidence-based policymaking continue to underpin the Government’s efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Reaffirming this commitment, Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale today opened the Second Annual Scientific Conference at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), held under the theme, “Care Without Gaps: Holistic Pathways to Universal Health Care.” The Cabinet Secretary said the Government’s health transformation agenda is being implemented through Taifa Care, the Social Health Authority (SHA), digital health transformation, strategic investments in health infrastructure and a strengthened health workforce. He noted that achieving UHC requires more than expanding access to healthcare and called for an integrated, equitable and people-centred health system that guarantees quality services for every Kenyan. Hon. Duale observed that the conference theme aligns with the Ministry’s Every Woman Every Newborn Everywhere (EWENE) initiative and the ongoing Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) on Maternal and Newborn Health, both aimed at reducing preventable maternal and newborn deaths through evidence-based interventions. He challenged researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals to generate practical solutions that support these national priorities and strengthen health sector reforms. The Cabinet Secretary emphasized that research remains the foundation of effective policy and service delivery, noting that as Kenya embraces digital health, artificial intelligence and data-driven healthcare, innovation must remain ethical, evidence-based and focused on improving patient outcomes while preserving compassionate, patient-centred care. He further called for stronger collaboration among Government, academia, research institutions, healthcare facilities, county governments and development partners to build resilient health systems and improve service delivery. Hon. Duale reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting teaching and referral hospitals, universities and research institutions to foster research, innovation and scientific excellence while positioning Kenya as a regional leader in evidence-informed healthcare. The two-day conference has brought together researchers, clinicians, policymakers and healthcare professionals from across the country to share knowledge, showcase innovations and strengthen collaboration towards a more resilient and responsive healthcare system. The Cabinet Secretary commended the Board, Management, researchers, clinicians, healthcare workers and partners of KUTRRH for their continued contribution to quality healthcare, scientific research and innovation in Kenya. He was joined by Director-General for Health Dr. Patrick Amoth, Director of Special Needs Education Mr. Fredrick Haga, KUTRRH Board Chairperson Mr. James Kabugu, Chief Executive Officer Dr. Zeinab Gura and other senior Government officials.

If you want to understand why a handful of Europeans with bibles and guns enslaved and colonized Africans, watch how vicious Black South Africans are united in their hatred and xenophobic violence against fellow Black Africans who supported them and granted them refuge during apartheid while not bothering the Boers who stole 80% of their land and control 99% of their minerals and economy.

And yet they sponsor global warming projects in Africa. Save yourself now
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus@DrTedros

Europe is the fastest-warming continent on Earth, heating at twice the global average. Right now 150 million people are living under extreme heat, hundreds have died, schools are shut, grids are buckling. Driven by climate change and global warming, the phenomenon of the “once-in-a-generation” heatwave is now occurring nearly annual. We were warned. More than 1300 excess deaths have been recorded since 21 June linked to high temperatures in Europe. Heat stress is often called the “silent killer” – and European homes, workplaces and schools were not built for these temperatures. @WHO is working with its Member States and partners to address the health threats posed by extreme heat through focusing on preparedness, prevention and stronger health system responses. In particular, we are encouraging European countries to implement heat health action plans, as part of the broader agenda to protect health against climate change. iris.who.int/server/api/cor…
