#AvatarNetflix is devoid of emotion. They worked so hard to rid this show of any emotional anchor. Yes, it boasts visual no doubt, but the characters are so wooden it’s hard to invest in them long term. So ya I’m thinkin’ 4/10 Anyway, here are some key character pivotal/emotional moments they’ve tossed out of the live action. There are many more, but that would be a 🧵 which i’m not about to do.

Got around to watching #LeaveTheWorldBehind this weekend. The film itself is an interesting case study of the human condition in a world-ending disaster born out of our over-reliance on technology. However, I’m still struggling to see what point it’s trying to make. What message is it trying to send? Particularly with that ending. Now i’m not saying i expect some kind of optimistic ending. But it would have been nice to see what Sam Esmail is getting at, good or bad. I think this is one film where it’s ambiguous ending is an unacceptable copout. Love the visuals. Very reminiscent of MR. ROBOT. 6.5/10
