I assume there’ll be a crime scene tent outside Peter’s house presently with squads of coppers rifling through his stuff, all of it live on television. Because we already established that how we investigate political corruption in this country, isn’t it.

Epstein gave thousands of pounds to Peter Mandelson's husband & then asked him to change government policy on the banker's bonus when he was business secretary Peter told him that he's "trying hard to ammend as I explained to Jes (Jes Staley, former CEO of Barclays) treasury digging in, but on the case.

What i’ve learned from the far right is that there is a cabal of the richest men on earth who own everything and manipulate it to benefit themselves at the cost of everyone else. But its not these guys pictured, they’re chill AF and have our best interest at heart
Jason Bassler@JasonBassler1

Anyone else find it strange that 7 of the richest men on Earth aren't just billionaires, but also media barons? Musk, Ellison, Bezos, Arnault, Brin, Page, Zuckerberg. They own the feeds, papers, platforms and narratives that shape our reality and no one says a word.🚩

If people in Britain want something to think about, then I’d suggest we think about how that damning Iraq War report was instantly binned and forgotten so the lads could keep inviting Tony on TV, then he was knighted at the first opportunity while the press yelled LOL fuck you

These people couldn’t have been more clear that they think not liking them is radicalisation; being angry with them for things they’ve done and said is extremism; asking them unwelcome questions is bullying and harassment, and raising your voice to them is criminal assault.

I'm at an event in Hammersmith with Sadiq Khan. He has finally said he thinks what's happening in Gaza is a genocide. Political pressure works. We must keep it up until they all speak the truth. Stop selling arms to Israel. Ceasefire now.

Bold Politics@_BoldPolitics

Sadiq Khan calling out Zack's use of "social media" instead of calling out the genocide in Mayor's Question Time really is the perfect analogy for why Labour are quite so astoundingly unpopular.

How it always goes: wars, austerity, entire election campaigns and governments, this genocide. Everyone who matters unites in the period where the horrors might yet be averted to ensure they aren’t, and that anyone who says they should be is stomped into the earth. Later: silence

It’s important to understand here that the entire “Labour whistleblowers” debacle was a fraud and a put-up job cooked up by Tom Watson and the BBC acting in concert to deliberately mislead the public. It’s not that this included misleading content. The whole thing was a fraud.
Flying_Rodent@flying_rodent

Again, the BBC broadcast a documentary edited to make it look like Labour staff were shouting “Hitler was right” at colleagues when that had not happened: it was someone describing abuse by fascists. Does that happen accidentally, does it get past legal, in an election year.

Volunteer fash wankers constantly pushing at institutional rules to manufacture non-story crises; picked up by the world’s most poisonous media outlets, and then by politicians. A great Nordstream pig slurry pipeline, high-pressure blasting all day into homes and workplaces.

People lose all sense of proportionality- the school should of realised that letting her say her stupid speech wasn’t worth the inevitable media shit storm and now we have to live with the consequences

Having examined the BBC's findings, we are launching an investigation under our rule which states that factual programmes must not materially mislead the audience.

An internal faction are urging Labour to legislate against diversity, equity and inclusion in order to appeal to Reform voters. When will they learn? You can't out-Reform Nigel Farage. Greens would tax the super-rich properly, close the inequality gap and improve people's lives

Do I condone the taking of hostages? No. But I also don’t condone siege warfare, white phosphorus, mass graves, or bombing refugee camps. The difference is: I don’t have selective outrage. You keep repeating, "Hamas should never have taken them." But let me ask you: Should Israel have taken thousands of Palestinians—many of them children—into indefinite detention without charge? Should it have taken freedom of movement? Should it have taken electricity, water, medicine, and the right to live without drones circling overhead? You don’t get to pretend the violence started with the hostages. You just entered the theater during the third act and want to skip the opening scenes. If hostages are your red line, then why aren’t you condemning the occupation that turned an entire population into hostages—behind walls, fences, and watchtowers? Why don’t you question a state that arrests kids for throwing stones, bulldozes homes in the middle of the night, and calls it "security"? Because your issue isn’t with hostages. It’s with resistance. It’s with the idea that Palestinians have the nerve to say: Enough. You want to freeze the moment at October 7 and erase everything before it. But history doesn’t work that way. And morality doesn’t either. You ask why I keep defending this? Because you keep defending the conditions that made it inevitable. Because you refuse to look at the root. Because you expect Palestinians to suffer quietly so you can call it peace. I don’t defend hostage-taking. I defend context. I defend memory. I defend the idea that no people should be bombed into silence and then blamed for screaming. So if you're really against hostage-taking, Start with the siege. Start with the occupation. Start with the prison guards, not just the prisoners. Because when one side holds every key, every border, every bomb, and every veto, You don’t get to lecture the shackled for how they try to break free.

I remember the crimes of the Bosnian War brought shame upon all of Europe for our indifference, and then I see this shit that is vastly worse and we are still giving them military and material assistance, and it’s no biggie. ft.com/content/ba6e18…
