I paid £175.99 for a full Claude Pro Annual subscription on March 19, 2026. My account was suddenly banned with no warning or explanation.
After the ban, you only refunded £90 (screenshots attached), completely ignoring the rest of my annual payment.
This situation reveals multiple systemic problems:
1. Appeal process is broken — Emailing support only gets generic AI-generated responses. The only way to appeal is through a community-shared Google Docs form that often throws errors. I’m far from the only user facing this.
2. Refund mechanism is flawed — It failed to properly calculate my full subscription history and prorated balance.
3. Ban policy harms loyal users — Strict risk controls are punishing long-term paying customers instead of real abusers, directly disrupting people’s work and productivity.
With so many backlog tickets, public pressure seems to be the only effective way to get a real response.
@AnthropicAI @trq212 @bcherny I expect one of the following immediately:
- Reinstate my account, OR
- Full prorated refund for the remaining annual subscription.
This experience is seriously damaging trust in Anthropic. Hoping for a swift and fair resolution.
