@Redheadreplica GBA pokemon had a very crisp and clean art style. Simpler than golden sun. Inferior? I’m not sure that’s the correct word. Maybe technically inferior. But not artisticly. Both have different intentions. And minish cap was on a different level. No debate there.

I think the idea of Pokemon always having inferior graphics even on GBA is hilarious. The other week while playing Golden Sun a friend pointed that out and it’s funny how true it is

@chippel @egoraptor Coming from a mid-teen from that era, that was absolutely just the style at the time. I don’t blame anyone who was edgy like that back then, and have since turned a new leaf. But we definitely shouldn’t be advocating for that millennial teen, edgy humour to return.

@kaino911 @Tectone Fortnite was not the first BR nor the first FTP model. It took these and ran with it, but without DayZ there would be no BR. Seeing as it was a mod, pubg is also an acceptable answer.

@Tectone Replace pubg with Fortnite. I know it’s basically a clone, but it’s free to play format was more influential. Replace demon souls with dark souls. Since demon souls didn’t quite take off at the time. Mariokart? Which one? The SNES one? I disagree. 64 was when the genre took off

@aDrive_tK People are either going through great lengths to criticise it, or they’re going through great lengths to cope. I’ve only seen a few takes that give the game a 5/10, by far not a great game, but not the worst pokemon game ever.

Gunna be real, the hate for Legends ZA is wild and I think people just like to hear themselves complain. The game is solid, runs smooth, the mega fights are fun and engaging, the city concept is better than I thought and the formula change up is a win. It’s not a perfect game but it’s been enjoyable. It’s so sad that negativity is what generates engagement / interest / clicks etc.
