This is completely reasonable. Anyone saying otherwise is either clueless or just plain stupid. The guy had to replace his daughter's stolen phone. Now she's got a brand-new device that he's paying for every single month. It's not like he can just call the store and say, "Oops—the thief gave the old phone back. Can you take this one off my hands and lower my bill?" That's not how any of this works. To me, this is pure common sense.

This dad is going viral for a reason. A 13-year-old girl stole his daughter’s $1,000 phone at school in Indiana. School finds it and IDs the thief. He heads straight to file felony charges, but gives the parents an out: pay for the replacement phone and he drops everything. He’s not mad at the parents — he just wants real consequences so kids learn. Plus he lets his daughter carry the phone for safety and in case of an emergency. What would YOU do? Did this dad handle it right — or should he seek full prosecution?
