I understand your sentiment here and trying to gain a competitive advantage but players are routinely getting hit in the hand, wrist and head by 95+ MPH seems like an issue.

@CTowersCBS @Roto_Frank Don't agree that just coz a lot of it happens means you can't control it. But ok, just keep the hit to head part of the proposal. That dataset would be much smaller and easier to legislate. Alternatively, if batter misses time due to HBP, pitcher misses an equivalent time period

@kakat262 @Roto_Frank Every hit by pitch being a 10-game suspension is a very obviously ludicrous suggestion there have been 1,767 HBP this season. That's 17,670 days missed of suspension! That's ridiculous! I feel like I don't really have to explain why!

@Roto_Frank @CTowersCBS You hit someone, auto suspended for 10 days. Ibatter has leaned into it to gain advantage, appeal and batter gets suspended for 2x the time. hit someone in the head, you're out for a month. Repeat offense? Out for the year. Doesn't matter if it's intentional or accidental.

@CTowersCBS I think pre-tacking the baseballs couldn’t hurt. Also, perhaps there needs to be more of an emphasis on control throughout development. I’m not sure there’s one fix, but feels like maybe a few things could help.
