I just released a report: 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗔 𝗧𝘄𝗼-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧. ➝ Part 1 surveys experiments run in law schools with ChatGPT and other LLMs. Feel free to browse, replicate, or ignore. ➝ Part 2 shares findings from my own 2-year experiment (some counterintuitive). ➝ I close with 4 suggestions for law schools and education boards. The aim is simple: to put some empirics and data on the table (imperfect as they are) to help ground a debate that is often driven by strong feelings. Above all, I hope we can respect the variety of intuitions, methods, and pedagogies that will inevitably coexist in this space, whether they imply using AI or not.
