A lot of overthinking surrounding the Utumishi Girls CCTV footage. The question of why CCTV cameras are installed within the dormitory area is, in my view, misplaced. The fact that the students involved in the incident knew the cameras existed and still proceeded with their actions, in itself, explains why the school found it necessary to install them. From my observation, the cameras are positioned along the corridors, which are common areas, considering the dormitory is designed in a cubicle format that still allows students a degree of privacy. The real question of accountability should be directed at the school management regarding the overcrowding in the dormitory. As you also can see from the CCTV footage, the dormitory overcrowding may have been a significant contributing factor to the tragedy and the loss of more students' lives.

UPDATE: It's 4pm and this is what it looks like outside Utumishi Girls. The parents who have lost their children are submitting the DNA samples here. We have been outside since we came here in the morning.

There were few walk outs, and when they happened, it was simply a disciplinary case. They're asking what has changed. 🤔

Today, Martha Njoki was all smiles, thanks to Baraka Smiles Dental clinic for restoring her beautiful smile. Martha Njoki is the lady I rescued last year from the streets. This will give her the stability she needs to eventually reunite fully with her children after following the required legal process from the children’s home where they have been staying. This journey is a reminder that with compassion, support, and determination, lives can be transformed.
