Fiji sits at the heart of the Pacific, a region critical to global security, trade and climate resilience.   In Suva, I met leaders and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat to strengthen our partnership and advance joint work on climate action and regional security. 🇬🇧🇫🇯

A secure and stable Pacific helps keep the UK safe. Good to discuss defence, maritime security and shared prosperity with Prime Minister Rabuka on board HMS Tamar, including protecting shipping routes and upholding international rules at sea.

With Fiji set to bring world-class rugby to the UK next year, our partnership is going from strength to strength. Great to meet Foreign Minister Dikota to discuss expanding trade opportunities and our ongoing collaboration through the UN and the Commonwealth. 🇬🇧🇫🇯
