While driving through North Queensland today for the Hinchinbrook by-election, just outside Townsville, I spotted a property full of mango trees. I had to stop because I love my mangos. I pulled in and met Sue, the owner. She kindly offered me some for free. As we got talking, I found out she’s had health issues in the past, and sadly, she has discovered another lump and needs scans done. The public system is so overwhelmed that she’s been told she might have to wait until September 2026 just to get the scans. That’s a dangerous delay. These problems can become deadly if they’re left to linger. Sue never asked for anything from me. But I wanted to repay her kindness with kindness. So I gave her a hand. Charity starts at home. We’ve got to look after our own. Too many Australians are falling through the cracks while governments send billions overseas or waste it on bureaucracy. It’s time we put everyday Aussies first. That means helping each other when the system doesn’t. That’s the Australia I believe in.

@TraceyLee_07 We will not regain the cost of our solar system. Battery is handy to store energy but it costs so much to purchase one.

Just received my electricity bill, and oh boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The solar credit feed-in tariff was a generous -$0.29. 😂 Remind me again how having solar panels is such a good investment.
