The science says 30% of land and oceans need to be protected by 2030 – and we cannot do that without protecting rivers, the crucial lifeline that connects the two. Rivers are our Earth’s arteries after all. 2. Everyone lives in a river basin – rivers are accessible to most people, and they are more achievable to clean than the great big ocean. 3. We all want to breathe in clean air and drink fresh water. These are the two most basic things to ensure our planet is habitable. #RiversAreLife
