The dog lobby is pressuring the SC to reverse its order on removing strays. Some NGOs, funded by vaccine companies, profit when bite cases rise. Let’s unite to support the SC order and push for it nationwide implementation. Sign here: chng.it/dWgWnqrWFn

Did you even read the RTI reply before posting this? It clearly states, "...out of which Tata Steel has invested ₹2600 crore through the CAF Fast Track Portal." Nowhere does it say that it is the only investment in the state. If you look at the actual ground reality, massive projects have materialized and been commissioned. Tata Steel's Ludhiana plant is commencing operations right now. Sanathan Textiles just started commercial production on their ₹1,850 crore facility. And Verbio successfully commissioned Asia's largest Bio CNG plant in Sangrur. When reporting the news, one should present the complete picture, not cherry-pick lines from an RTI reply to fit a specific narrative. A simple fact-check would have easily prevented this misinformation.

During 2022-2026, Punjab recieved proposed investment of ₹1,55,339 crores, out of which only Tata Steel has invested ₹2600 crore i.e. .016% of the proposed investment materialized. ~RTI reply Tall but shallow claims go bust, and your claims too went bust C.M @BhagwantMann ji.

Be it a bollywood movie or real life, it is always about three friends. From Dil Chahta Hai to ZMND to Kai Po Che to Kota Factory or your school friends group. One of the three is career focused, one is always confused and the one who brings fun and adventure into the group, who teaches all the good and bad things to the rest of the two. One is here @AbhinavEIU while the other one is on another trip! 😊

A few years back I'd have said I can't believe something like this is happening in my country. Now, it's no more a surprise 😐. Our courts, who have the power to safeguard those under threat of communal forces, are in turn acting like they are in cahoots with the perpetrators!

Understandably, the anxiety around Justice Sharma is not confined to AAP leaders’ cases alone. Justice Sharma had overturned: 1. Discharge of Sharjeel Imam, Safoora Zargar, Asif Iqbal Tanha, and others in the Jamia violence case. 2. In the Zeeshan Haider–Daud Nasir matter linked to the ED’s case against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, Justice Sharma’s July 2024 order denying bail repeatedly adopted the prosecution’s language in strikingly assertive terms, speaking of “ill-gotten money” and a criminal conspiracy hatched with associates. It is this feature that recurs in several of Justice Sharma’s high-profile orders: the absorption of the prosecution’s case so deeply into the judgment that the line between prima facie assessment and near-final narrative begins to blur. That is what makes the present reassignment request more serious than a complaint about adverse judicial outcomes. 10/16

The manner in which the Election Commission has singled out and targeted Bengal is not just unprecedented- It is deeply alarming. Even before the formal notification of elections, more than 50 senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, ADGs, IGs, DIGs, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been summarily and arbitrarily removed. This is not administrative action rather this is political interference of the highest order. The systematic politicisation of institutions meant to remain impartial is a direct assault on the Constitution. At a time when a deeply flawed SIR process is underway and over 200 lives have already been lost, the conduct of the Commission reflects a clear bias and an uncomfortable submission to political interests, continuing to put the people of Bengal at risk. Supplementary electoral rolls are still not published, in clear disregard of the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s directions, leaving citizens anxious and uncertain. Meanwhile, senior officers from critical agencies like IB, STF and CID are being selectively removed and dispatched out of the state, pointing to a calculated attempt to cripple Bengal’s administrative machinery. Why is the BJP so desperate? Why this relentless targeting of Bengal and its people? What satisfaction do they derive from forcing citizens, even after 78 years of Independence, to stand in queues and prove their own citizenship? The contradictions in the Commission’s actions expose its complete collapse of credibility. It claims that removed officers should not be assigned election duties, yet within hours, the same officers are sent out as election observers. The appointment of the Commissioners of Police of Siliguri and Bidhannagar as observers, without even putting replacements in place, left two vital urban centres effectively headless. It was only after this glaring lapse came to light that rushed corrections followed. This is not governance. It reflects chaos, confusion and sheer incompetence being passed off as authority. This is not incidental, it points to a deliberate design to seize control of West Bengal through coercion and institutional manipulation. What we are witnessing is nothing short of an undeclared emergency and an unpromulgated form of president’s rule driven by political vendetta, not democratic principles. Having failed to win the trust of Bengal’s people, the BJP is now attempting to capture the state through coercion, intimidation, manipulation and the misuse of institutions. I stand in complete solidarity with every officer of the Government of West Bengal and their families, who are being targeted simply for serving the state with honesty and commitment. Bengal has never bowed to intimidation and it never will. Bengal will fight, Bengal will resist and Bengal will decisively defeat every attempt to impose a divisive and destructive agenda on its soil.

In almost all these cases, Justice Sharma issued notice, called for a reply, status report, or trial court record, and then fixed a date weeks or, more often, months later—in several cases in July, August, September, and even October 2026. For instance: 1. In CRL.REV.P. 22/2026, ordered on January 13, the matter was listed for March 2. 2. In CRL.REV.P. 27/2026, ordered on January 14, it was listed for July 27. 3. In CRL.REV.P. 25/2026, also ordered on January 14, it was listed for July 14. 4. In CRL.REV.P. 48/2026, ordered on February 4, the next date was July 14. 5. In CRL.REV.P. 52/2026, ordered on February 27, the next date was September 15. 6. In CRL.REV.P. 65/2026, a CBI matter ordered on January 29, the case was listed for July 24. 7. In CRL.REV.P. 99/2026, ordered on February 13, the matter was listed for August 12. 8. In one directly comparable matter, CRL.REV.P. 95/2026—a CBI challenge to a discharge order—notice was issued on February 12, and the matter was made returnable only on August 12, six months later. 9. After the March 9 order in Kejriwal’s case, the pattern persisted: CRL.REV.P. 147/2026, ordered on March 12, was listed for October 12. CRL.REV.P. 154/2026, ordered on March 13, for July 23. And CRL.REV.P. 157/2026, ordered on March 16, for September 24. 2/16

#StoryAlert🚨 The CBI's challenge to Arvind Kejriwal and 22 others' discharge in the alleged liquor scam has opened up deeper and troubling questions about the High Court judge hearing the case, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma. I analysed orders in all the 165 cases (criminal revision petitions) filed since January 1 to March 17 this year in the Delhi High Court. Under the new roster effective January 5, six judges were assigned criminal revision petitions, including Justice Sharma, who also now exclusively holds the roster of criminal cases relating to sitting/former MPs/MLAs. Of the 165, Justice Sharma’s board included at least 17 such Criminal Revision Petitions (like CBI-Kejriwal case) during this period. The pattern that emerges in these cases is striking. A longish🧵. Stay with me. Link to the article—frontline.thehindu.com/incoming/delhi…
