These are two ordinary residential buildings in Ternopil. Not military targets, but simply someone’s homes. This morning Russia struck them, killing at least 10 people and injuring four dozen more, including 12 children. Russian attacks across the country, from Kharkiv to Lviv, killed and injured dozens of people, including children, and damaged critical civilian infrastructure, particularly the energy system. Russia’s brutal and constant terror demonstrates that any realistic peace plan must start with pressure on Moscow to force it to engage in meaningful diplomacy and end the war. The war that Russia should have never started, the war it cannot win, and the war it refuses to end. Sanctions, isolation, and accountability can force Moscow to finally do so.

🔴 Russia unleashed a massive overnight attack on Ukraine with waves of drones and missiles, hitting Kyiv. Preliminary reports say residential areas and energy infrastructure were struck.

This Sunday night, Russia launched yet another barrage of missiles and drones against the people of Ukraine, targeting the Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions. In Lviv, four people were killed and four others injured. In Zaporizhzhia, one person was killed and ten injured after Russia targeted residential areas with drones and aerial bombs. Across all affected areas, residential buildings and critical infrastructure were damaged. Another deliberate act of terror against civilians. Moscow continues to strike homes, schools, and energy facilities — proving that destruction remains its only strategy. Thanks to the bravery and skill of the men and women of Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces, most of the enemy’s drones and missiles were intercepted. Their work saves countless lives every night. Russia’s war is no longer confined to Ukraine; it is a war against the entire democratic world. It can be stopped, but only if Ukraine’s partners act decisively and treat this threat with the seriousness it demands. This is no time for indecision — every day, the price only goes up.

At least 21 civilians were killed and more than two dozen injured following a barbaric direct Russian strike with an air bomb on ordinary people lined up to receive pensions in the village of Yarova in the Donetsk region. This heinous crime demands worldwide condemnation and action. We urge the world to speak out and act immediately. We call on European partners, the United States, G20 members, and all who value human life and the UN Charter to take action. We are currently informing all of our partners and international organizations about the details of this horrific crime. And we expect strong responses. Russian criminals must face justice for this and other atrocities. Russian propaganda claims to be "saving" people in the Donetsk region, but in reality, it is dropping massive air bombs on people who came to receive pensions. Russia brings only death, horror, and destruction. Collective and decisive action, including devastating sanctions pressure and additional support for Ukraine's defense and resilience, can and must stop Russian terror.
