@ParappatheAba dixon isn't the only writer to have written tim with queer subtext. while dixons intentions were otherwise, to dismiss the very prominent queer stories for tim is a bit odd, it was in the story regardless. even his 00s writers have commented on writing him with that in mind

@karazoracle Idk if there's something in particular you're referring to but I've always felt a lot his early queer coded writing is a bit tainted by the fact that Dixon did it out of a desire for Tim to be chaste and pure to his sensibilities which only inadvertently looped into being queer

no harm to op genuinely but i do find it odd how many people will dismiss tim's queerness; the one robin who undoubtedly had queer writing in all his early stories.

my issue with bg:b is that i'm not seeing the connection to the current batman run and the story is falling flat in some areas and it's raising more questions than answering any. and also fuck babsgirl, let her be just oracle and bring her disability back my god

very cool to see exactly how the robin intiative operates and how the communication works between the five of them, and i love seeing exactly how the unibike turns into the exo suit. still very funny to have the smallest be the one standing off against bruce

scarecrow has to be my favorite absolute rogue thus far, his design is spectacular

@B4TMANSBFF which i get! just knowing how tim came out & how he's said that he's used vigantalism as a distraction to never address his queerness it kinda changes how you view any mantle he upheld because he's using those as a way out of connecting with himself which also falls under SH

@karazoracle this diagram is about their stories as batman specifically, not their time in other mantles or in general. generally speaking i would have absolutely put tim in the overlap with jpv, but his stories as batman and his relationship with upholding the mantle is what placed him here

again; i don't think op meant harm by this we all get to interpret characters and such differently but tim, the queer robin, always gets dismissed or excluded from his queerness by everyone in this fandom and that should be addressed

tim's queerness is very important to who he is, it's something his early writers even admit to taping into, they played with his identity issues and turned it into subtle queerness that later made meg fitz make him canonically bisexual.

@figjamntoast i like it a lot! i like to read issues before i buy them to see if it's worth it. and i like that compared to ibooks they're automatically downloaded at 12am so it's nice to wake up on a wednesday and already have my comic waiting for me :D
