@karl2real @NigeriaNDCHQ Under Articles 14 and 19 of the FIFA Statutes, political or government interference in football administration is strictly illegal. FIFA has previously suspended Nigeria (in 2010 and 2014) for this exact reason. Political meddling guarantees an immediate global ban.

Nigeria Democratic Congress
It is an aberration that Nigeria, as a country, is not at the World Cup. This is solely a failure of leadership, which we intend to fix in 2027 through our collective resolve to vote out this incompetent government that has denied millions of Nigerians the joy of travelling to watch the World Cup and participating in the tournament.

@NigeriaNDCHQ Blaming the president for missing the World Cup makes no sense. Football is won on the pitch, not in the villa. Even Italy a wealthy G7 country with world-class facilities and planning missed this 2026 World Cup entirely. It’s a tactical and sporting failure, not a political one.

I completely agree 💯. His Excellency Peter Obi should, as a matter of urgency, assemble a team of seasoned strategic communications professionals who can effectively manage and communicate his message to his supporters and the Nigerian public at large.
Aji Bussu Onye Mpiawa azụ 🇨🇮@AfamDeluxo

Okwute @PeterObi needs his own professional media team, and I’m not talking about the usual ShePeteri Twitter boys and girls. He needs seasoned communicators, strategists, and media professionals without baggage who can effectively shape and protect his message. That is the only way he can clearly distinguish himself from the Aki and Pawpaw media appointments made by NDC while reassuring his core supporters that their concerns are being heard. If he doesn’t move quickly on this, there could be serious consequences. His support base has remained loyal because they believe in him and the values he represents. Keeping that base motivated and engaged should be a top priority. Ọ bụrụ na emeghị ya ngwa ngwa, nsogbu dị.

Listened to Alex Otti @ the investment summit and damn! That guy is Abia’s Attah. When he said that they hit the reset button and decided to draw up a 25 year mega city plan and the first thing they had to do was take Aba off-grid, it sounded exactly like what Attah was up to. I really hope that the FG doesn’t try to stifle his progress like they did Attah. I also hope that his successors stick to the plan (unlike Attah’s). Godspeed to Alex and the people of Abia

@Enwagboso @realkenokonkwo ase can you explain to me why a mandatory 10mill from all contestants in a new party is illegal, if you are not comfortable as pioneering candidates of the party then seek a different party. I am not a member, but if this is their designed modus operandi, then so it be..

Ignorance is not an excuse. You cannot preach 'New Nigeria is Possible' while the receipts show old tactics. @realkenokonkwo dropped text communications evidence, and there is a media video claiming that the National Secretary was demanding a N10m bribe for PO’s presidential campaign funding. Ignorance isn't an excuse in law, rules, and regulations, and that applies to the laws of political parties. Obi is the face of the NDC ticket. He is the presidential candidate, and the alleged funding is for the presidential campaign, which is for him. If the inner sanctum of the party structure is actively shaking down aspirants for millions, what exactly are Obidients defending? To the Obidients: You can't claim to fight corruption on the outside while funding and defending it on the inside. Look at the evidence and stop making excuses. Akacham.
E.J.@Enwagboso

@realkenokonkwo has shared text evidence butressing his point. There is also video evidence corroborating Ken's statement. They want to use aspirants to cash out allegedly. N10m per aspirant. About 1000 for HOR alone = N10bn. About 3000 HoA aspirants = N30bn (assuming same N10m bribe). For gubernatorial, there are around 100 aspirants. These ones probably paid N30m bribe. Let's assume that = N3bn. N45bn in one fell swoop within 3 weeks.

@Enwagboso @realkenokonkwo Intellectual dwarf. If a man is the face of a party then abnormalies perpetuated by officials should be placed on his head ? Keneth made specific claims about obi, that he compiled names at johnwood hotel, that he asked for the bribe to be paid. He didn't say allegations

“Nigerians, I’m Heartbroken Right Now. My Brother, Who Has Served In The Nigerian Army Since He Was 20 Years Old, Has Died. Now, The Army Told Us They Cannot Bring His Body Home For Us Unless We Pay ₦2 Million. They Said If We Don’t Send The Money, They Won’t Bring Him Back For Burial. My Father Was Also a Soldier Before He Died, And This Situation Is Very Painful For Our Family. I Never Imagined The Nigerian Army Would Deteriorate To This Point.” ~ Lady Reacts 💔🇳🇬

🚨 Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle with Enzo Fernández on a 5-year deal. José Mourinho is believed to be a key advocate for the Chelsea midfielder, with PSG ruling out the departures of Vitinha and João Neves this summer. Chelsea are said to value Fernández at around £110M–£118M, leaving Real Madrid to decide whether to meet the asking price or explore more affordable options in the market. (Source: @Ekremkonur)

Media Framing of Crime Along Ethnic Lines: Divisive. As an Igbo man, I have endured stereotypes, judgment, and labelling solely based on my ethnic origins. This is not an isolated Igbo experience. Most Nigerians have, at some point, been reduced to their ethnicity rather than recognised for their true character. I understand the pain of the ordinary Fulani man today, often unfairly judged by the actions of criminals he does not support, has never met, and who are not representative of his people. Even in America, such unjust labelling fueled the civil rights movement and prompted Martin Luther King Jr. to declare that people should be judged by the content of their character, not the colour of their skin. Every Nigerian ethnic group is known for its unique traditions, occupations, skills, and strengths. Crime, however, has no ethnicity. A thief is a thief. A terrorist is a terrorist. A kidnapper is a kidnapper. They are bad actors, not representatives of any people. They must be identified, arrested, and punished according to the law. We must decisively abandon the dangerous practice of blaming entire ethnic groups for the actions of a few criminals. It is unjust, it breeds hatred, and it damages our national unity. Let us proudly celebrate our diverse cultures, talents, and contributions, rather than falling prey to stereotypes and prejudices that politicians and divisive interests exploit for their gain. A new Nigeria must emerge—one where no citizen is condemned because of tribe, religion, or birthplace. We can cherish our cultural roots while standing united by justice, mutual respect, and hope for a better future. We are capable of this. A new Nigeria is within our reach. -PO

🚨JUST IN: Chelsea intend to buy a minimum of 2 “ready-made” players who are able to go straight into the first XI. But with no European football they do not want to make too many additions. That is why they are looking to add just one CB as things stand. [@TheAthleticFC]
