@KarlaNeblett It is so difficult isn’t it? I’m mixed race, too and sometimes I want to scream “tick the box for me!” and at others times I hate that some people think that’s the only reason I’m chosen.

You introduced me to Black Water; the rest is history! 🤸🏽♀️Remembering others I've read too, but the ultimate moment was discussing Black Water + what must have inspired it. I honestly don't know how I feel about it (like I said, ambivalence) other than the fact that the saying "history repeats itself" pops into my head every time I consider it all (for some reason).

@tiredpsych @KarlaNeblett does this superbly in King of Rabbits. The main character, Kai, is first person in the present and third person in the past. Also, as mentioned @JoannaCannon works it perfectly.

Twitter reader / writer advice please.
My new book seems to want 1 character 1st person and 1 character 3rd person. They are equally important in the story.
Any examples of novels where this works well? Thank you.
