@NerosCinema One somewhat interesting thing I’ve noticed with any friends just getting into cod is that they really only play warzone. They don’t seem to care about the base game at all, so how many new cod players are even interested in paying for game pass when warzone is free?

I'm the creator of small, short games. And I do NOT think Steam should change its refund policy. I've made many games that are 30–40 minutes long. Do you know what their refund rate is? About 10%, which is the average refund rate for all games on Steam. The fact that this particular person has a refund rate of around 30% is NOT because the game is short! It's because something is wrong with the game! Moreover, I've seen a refund rate of about 20% on my own games, and often that happened when the game turned out to be not very interesting — and that's normal! People should have the right to get their money back for something they didn't like, didn't suit them, or disappointed them. Yes, there will be a percentage of people who just want to take advantage of the system. But that percentage is incredibly small, and if his game weren't tied to online features, those people would have just pirated it anyway. Steam's policy is on the side of the buyers, and in reality, it doesn't harm the creators of small, good games at all. Let it stay that way.

Another environment that I really love using some of the materials within this pack I actually use a weak version of the "Fake Unlit" material blended with the cel-shader and then the same hand painted brush stroke effect from the video, just on a much smaller and more subtle scale. #ue5 #unrealengine #indiedev

I just released a new asset for UE5 to Fab, a massive library of post process effects. Among my favorite effects is this painterly ghibli effect. Transforming low poly models into something that looks hand painted is a lot of fun, and it uses edge detection to mask a lot of the artifacting that could occur which makes it look pretty solid in motion. #ue5 #unrealengine #gamedev

@JalexRosa Making the terrain the enemy seems like the best bet IMO. Things like rock slides, avalanches, wobbly bridges/beams that are set up that you have to walk across.

@Vizor_tm @MR3Dev You can still use them to develop and launch a game. Even if depricated they'll still be there for you to use, and even if removed you can still use the version of Unreal you started your project on that has them.
