Corporate employees will spend 45 minutes finding the perfect restaurant discount to save 10% but barely spend 10 minutes on tax planning that could save them ₹1.2L a year. #taxes

His name is Gagan Narang. He was born on May 6 1983 in Chennai. His father Bhimsen was a chief manager at Air India. The family moved to Hyderabad where Gagan grew up. At age two he aimed a toy gun at balloons on Chennai’s Marina Beach and hit every one. In 1997 his father gave him an air pistol. That was the beginning. He won gold at the 2003 Afro Asian Games in Hyderabad. In 2006 he won four gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He repeated the feat in Delhi in 2010. He remains the only Indian male athlete to win four gold medals at a single Commonwealth Games. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics he was in the form of his life. He had scored 704.3 at a pre Olympic event in Germany, higher than the world record. In Beijing he missed qualifying for the final on countback. He later said he went into shock and depression for months. He did not touch his rifle for weeks. He came back. On July 30 2012 at the Royal Artillery Barracks in London he won bronze in the 10 metre Air Rifle event. He became India’s first medal winner at the 2012 Olympics. Only the third Indian shooter to ever win an Olympic medal. After retiring from competition in 2016 he founded the Gun for Glory academy which has since produced multiple international champions. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna 2011. Padma Shri 2010. Arjuna Award 2006. Today he turns 43. The two year old who shot balloons on Marina Beach grew up to win India’s first Olympic medal of 2012. Follow for stories India deserves to remember.

“The buzz he created, believe me, it was just incredible. People were leaving their offices just to watch him bat. In two & a half hours, he scored 192 - it was like a hurricane. The moment he got out, the entire Urdu school team just sat down wherever they were, they didn’t even have the strength to celebrate.” Amol Mazumdar on Sachin Tendulkar’s iconic Harris Shield knock at Cross Maidan against Bandra Urdu School, a day after his Ranji debut.

Eden Gardens hasn't hosted Australia since 2001. Wankhede hasn't hosted Australia since 2004. And it will be at least 2031 until the might be able to. It's an absolute joke how we treat our iconic Test venues.

I really think IPL teams should stop collaborating with random influencers, stop inviting them to stadiums, stop making a freaking designated influencers zone. Imagine a serious franchise league of any other sports doing this? It just ruins the fun , the game and also the real fans are overshadowed. Cover stories of players, make better content, cover fan content, make match documentaries. Please stop bringing those cringe content creators around the team #IPL2026

Bursting with pride and relief for @IamSanjuSamson after his superlative innings in today’s virtual quarterfinal against the WestIndies. I had suffered for him as earlier setbacks saw him lose his place in the side. Today he showed the world why he deserved to be there in the first place. Proud of Thiruvananthapuram’s native son, the Pride of India, #NammudeSanju! 🇮🇳 #WorldCup #INDvWI
