These aren’t donations that get tax receipts, but it’s a charity’s operations “in the name of charity”. I hope the Alberta lottery regulator takes a closer look and Oiler fans know where their generosity really goes.

Anne Marie says she was raped by 8 Ontario Hockey League players in Nov 2014 at one of the player’s billet homes. (CTV and TSN do not name victims of sexual assault without their approval. With her permission, we are referring to the woman by her middle name Anne Marie.) After we air her story on @CTVNationalNews tonight, I’ll join @omarsachedina to discuss what happened when Anne Marie contacted the OPP and a local police force earlier this year to report her alleged assault.

The five former 2018 World Juniors hockey players charged with sexual assault know who will oversee their trial. Court records indicate Justice Bruce Thomas has been assigned to the case. Thomas, who has been a judge since 1999, was Regional Senior Judge for Ontario's Southwest region from 2017-23. He has overseen some of the area's highest-profile trials in recent years, including cases involving alleged human trafficking and murder. It’s possible a date for the players' trial will be set tomorrow during a hearing in London. For the past months, defence lawyers have been reviewing what Crown attorney Heather Donkers has called “substantial” paper and audio evidence collected by London police in connection with the case.

If anyone has copies of JNF Canada's 2023 audit, preferably unredacted, please share. I checked with Corporations Canada and despite being a soliciting/fundraising charity, recieving millions in donations, JNF Canada has failed to file.

I feel Canadians have a right to see what the professional auditor reported. Charities are public organizations. This information is material for Canadians to make informed giving decisions. See for yourself: charityintelligence.ca/media/audit_pd…

@canadiancharity and all, does anyone else find it ironic that JNF's legal appeal asks for unredacted documents from CRA ... meanwhile @JNFCaanda's audited financial statements are only available through access to information and are heavily redacted? Transparency matters.

Head of Charity Intelligence suggests WE Charity bribed the judge hearing their case. That is illegal and batshit crazy. Bahen misrepresents the facts. The judge cites letters from the OFL that Jesse Brown had when he published. The letters prove the allegation was false.
