The abuse & harassment that women soccer players have been subjected to is appalling. I led my colleagues in urging the @NWSL & @ussoccer to conduct a robust investigation into this systemic abuse, including by former NC Courage coach, Paul Riley. Enough is enough.

If everything is important—then nothing is important—you have to choose! When a CEO chooses Profits over Safety, or Profits over Trust, its ethically & morally wrong. You may not pay right away (& you may be able to deceive), but eventually — you will pay. Truth always wins!

Despite a heavy heart, I am equally as hopeful thanks to the bravery of people like Sinead, Mana, and Kaiya. Your strength is unprecedented and is already creating a lasting ripple effect of change for @NWSL players and women everywhere 🤍

My heart breaks for all the pain that has been inflicted by abusers, leaving their victims to suffer in silence and isolation. Shame on the broken systems that choose to be accomplices in wrongdoing as they knowingly turn a blind eye towards misconduct.
