When we look back, Alex Karp may have initiated an important preference cascade around AI sovereignty. It’s worth noting what @Benioff and @satyanadella are both saying: Your knowledge, as a company, is your sovereignty. If you lose it to someone else (anyone else) you are hollowing your organization out. There are many ways to accidentally leak intelligence so you need partners and tools who can sign up for the complexity required to give it to you. Launch of the @AIforGood Global Commission today on the sidelines of the AI for Good Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (@ITU). The Commission, of which I am a member, is co-chaired by H.E. President @PaulKagame of Rwanda and Co-Founder and CEO of @salesforce Marc @Benioff with Vice-Chair @ITUSecGen Doreen Bogdan-Martin. The Commission brings together more than 40 Founding Members - including Heads of State and Government, industry CEOs and top executives, and Heads of International Organizations - to help define practical pathways to strengthen trust, expand access and unlock AI‘s potential to solve real-world challenges at the speed the technology demands. The discussion today shows the Commission is off to a promising start! Congratulations to Doreen for this much-needed convening.
