The fake urgency created in corporate life for absolutely no reason is one of the worst things humans have invented.

A reminder that this is how politics - and shame - is supposed to work. A politician is accused of major scandals, crimes!, and their party disowns them and they are forced out not just from a race from but from public life. You’re not supposed to re-elect them to the presidency.

Over the course of just 72 hours, Swalwell went from being the frontrunner to be governor of the nation's largest state to announcing his resignation to head off a potential expulsion vote.

It's sociopathic that Eric Swalwell hasn't dropped out of the race yet - which I guess fits with the behavior he's been accused of, for which there's ample evidence to support.

In light of the allegations of sexual assault, Eric Swalwell should resign from Congress and end his campaign for public office. But those decisions do not absolve him of taking responsibility for his misconduct, especially when he has attempted to silence and retaliate against these victims. These allegations merit full investigations, and these women deserve the right to pursue justice. Too often, men escape any consequence for sexual misconduct by stepping out of power. That is a first and necessary step towards justice because it limits the ability for further harm. I stand with these women as they seek justice.

The allegations against Congressman Swalwell are horrifying. I’m thinking of the courageous women who have come forward to share their stories. We believe you and we stand with you.

Meeting with Epstein survivors has taught me how much trauma survivors endure and how much courage it takes for them to speak up. No one in a position of power should be allowed to act above the law or with impunity. It doesn’t matter what office you hold, how wealthy you are, or which political party you align with. The same rules must apply to Eric Swalwell. There must be the appropriate law enforcement investigations and House ethics investigations. He must be held accountable. There cannot be two tiers of justice in this nation.

Day 1 of the ceasefire: bloodiest day of the war in Lebanon, one of the heaviest days of Iranian attacks on the Gulf since the first week, and also the Strait of Hormuz still isn't open It's a ceasefire only in the sense that America has ceased firing and declared victory

Before Trump’s war the Strait of Hormuz was open, sanctions were in place, and gas was $2.39. Now Iran controls the Strait, sanctions will be lifted, gas is $4.99, 13 Americans are dead, over 300 injured, and the loss of hundreds of billions in aircraft and U.S. base repairs.

While the world focuses on the destruction in Iran, we must not ignore what Israel is doing in Lebanon. 1,461 have been killed. 4,430 have been injured. 1.2 million have been displaced. Israel now occupies 14% of Lebanon. Enough is enough. No more US military aid to Israel.

So Trump basically gave Iran everything they wanted and we got the Strait of Hormuz opening… which was already open before the war started. ART OF THE DEAL EVERYONE!
