I changed the way I prompt when vibecoding Tiny Skies. Instead of telling the AI model how to do or implement something the way I want, I describe what I want the end result to look like. This leaves room for the AI model to choose its own approach, you get results it's actually optimised and trained for, which almost always means better output. This mirrors the usual team management 101 playbook: when briefing a team member, don't prescribe the method and let them figure out the best way to achieve the goal. As AI gets meaningfully better at coding in the recent months, I've stopped micromanaging the implementation and started focusing on the outcome I'm after. The latest frontier models have earned a longer leash and many times I have been surprised at how good it is.

After almost 4 weeks of dev, I've submitted Tiny Skies to #vibejam. I've never launched a multiplayer game before, so I'm a little nervous! Tiny Skies is a cosy little game you can pick up and play whenever you have a few minutes. It's a pretty chill and relaxing game where you can fly around and do stuff like: - play casual capture the flag with other players - shoot paintballs at each other (and at gremlins!) - make package deliveries - race in mini races - catch some fish - drift on a magic carpet - collect jellyfish friends - visit the landmarks of the world as a Capybara - unlock all vehicle options: biplane, magic carpet, or fishing boat (unlockable via multiple playthroughs) - or if you're up for it, figure out how to save the world from impending doom I hope you'll enjoy flying (and boating) around the world and soaking in the vibes! Claude Design has already taken away about 80% of my Figma time. Happened way faster than I expected. Moats are disappearing.

Was at the WH Correspondents dinner last night, a rare DC trip for me without a subpoena. On the positive side—was exciting, no one was killed, and ended early. I noted a new litmus for status among the gov’t elite—whether you were whisked away by secret service, or left to fend.

@gokulr Design not going away, but either need to drive the system or ship. Great time for high agency designers.

@jenny_wen @lennysan I expect in most common cases: 1. pm will need to vibe all of those things themselves. coordination approaches 0, stays in one brain. 2. other roles focus on building systems so #1 is possible without breaking everything.

DESIGN: THE FIRST AI CASUALTY I'm increasingly sure that 2026 signals the end of product design as a full-fledged stand-alone function within companies. If so, it will be the first role / function to be eliminated by AI on a go-forward basis. Instead of hiring FT designers, startups are hiring / will hire design consultants to create a design system that the founder likes (this takes a few weeks max). Once the design system is finalized, PM/Eng feed it into their AI tool of choice to generate prototypes. The design system is refreshed annually by the same consultant. Larger companies will likely not backfill design roles and will do some targeted attrition to reduce the design department to 20% the size it is today. If you're a designer, I think you have two choices: 1. Become an entrepreneur: Start a design agency and become the go-to resource for design systems for startups and even larger companies. This can be a good recurring revenue business. 2. Become a builder: Add PM/Eng responsibilities to become a product builder. Would suggest you embrace this proactively vs waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm really sorry about this - some of my best friends and the people I admire most and have learnt the most from are designers - but it seems inevitable.

When the PM recruiter asks if you’re also good to vibe code, vibe design, and vibe market as part of the job.

I've been doing the F-Zero test each time a new model comes out and GPT 5.5 and Codex is the only combo that built a working game so far. Even made a bunch of other bots to race against. What a insane time to be building.

Second iwsdkadventures.dev entry is live: Pong. Built in 1h13m active work, no compact, in a single agentic coding session. This time I started with a more prescriptive prompt after workshopping it with ChatGPT, and it helped. The best part is the full conversation log + lessons.md. Links 👇 #WebXR #IWSDK #IWSDKAdventures

Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial. Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later. nbcnews.com/health/cancer/…
