Sorry, but The Last Jedi is genuinely the single best Star Wars movie there is. It’s a story of failure, naivety, letting go, and redemption. I will defend this movie to my grave, I do not have anything bad to say about it

Luke Skywalker’s stand on Crait in The Last Jedi (2017) had the whole theater locked.

@Breaking911 Didn't take those Spirit pilots long to find a new gig it looks like.

@kavickers23 @PeterSchiff @ewarren Regardless, suck my fucking ass you inbred fucking retard
Spirit went broke because it was a shit company that set money on fire.
JetBlue would have slashed all the shitty routes that made Spirit fucking broke and shitty, regardless.
Now fuck off into the sea, you poor bitch.
English

Honestly if you’re supporting the fact they didn’t merge, go fuck yourself because we’re living in the alternative. Regardless of gas prices, Spirit going away stifles competition and harms the consumer as prices are going to go up big time. JetBlue and Spirit combining would’ve pushed prices down because JetBlue would have aggressively competed with the low prices and deals to attract business, making the big four make similar offers… but noooo, the big debt filled company might’ve made a monopoly! Fucking idiot. Get lost pal.
English

@kavickers23 @PeterSchiff @ewarren One more time, for the chronically retarded:
The DoJ is in charge of this shit, and yet defendants win 2/3 of the time in federal civil court.
Read a book, learn literally anything, and then fuck right off.
You suck. Everyone you have ever known, fucking sucks.

But once again, the most important detail is that the suit only existed in the first place because of the DOJ. Elizabeth Warren heavily encouraged and advised this action. It doesn’t matter what type of judge it was, the government almost always wins cases they invoke to block mergers as the law is written to favor the government heavily on purpose.
English

@kavickers23 @PeterSchiff @ewarren Correct. And Elizabeth Warren is not part of the DoJ.
The DoJ also still had to win the court case in front of a Reagan judge. Feels like an important detail.
English

@roboxking1 @ThisDud30190229 @Politics_PR @SecDuffy Maybe, Spirit merger would’ve given a lot more runway and more attractive for creditors to actually restructure the debt.
English

@kavickers23 @ThisDud30190229 @Politics_PR @SecDuffy I would say they would have needed to prepare their resumes anyways.

Nice job, Pete.
Secretary Pete Buttigieg@SecretaryPete
Americans deserve robust competition & affordable airfares. USDOT supports DOJ's antitrust lawsuit, & we plan to deny the JetBlue-Spirit request for an exemption on their merger deal. We will continue with our own investigation while supporting DOJ's work. transportation.gov/briefing-room/…
English

@davethedoorman3 @SayNo2WW3 @1776Cherryred @PeterSchiff @brianhegseth @ewarren the 6th and 7th tried to combine to be able to more effectively compete against the big four airlines…. And that’s an anti trust issue somehow?
English

@SayNo2WW3 @1776Cherryred @PeterSchiff @brianhegseth @ewarren obviously i just want to throw out there that anti-trust enforcement is broadly a good thing and just bc 2 rotten to the core companies tried to break the law and were rejected, causing one of them to die for both. then that’s more of an issue with these companies not big gov
English

@davethedoorman3 @heyitst0m @1776Cherryred @PeterSchiff @brianhegseth @ewarren They’ve only posted massive losses since COVID
English

@heyitst0m @1776Cherryred @PeterSchiff @brianhegseth @ewarren brother if the merger went through massive layoffs were coming. jet blue would’ve just gained 17,000 more checks to cut AND have to somehow pay off the debt of a company that has been losing millions for a decade. mass firing from both companies was inevitable.
English

@turribledood @PeterSchiff @ewarren …because the DOJ filed a suit. The district judge wouldn’t have blocked it randomly, the DOJ had to bring a suit to stop it (and they did).
English

@PeterSchiff @ewarren You know a US District Judge blocked the merger in Federal court, correct?

@ZackStrength It’s crony capitalism. The Big 4 airlines didn’t want JetBlue to acquire them because they would’ve been a much bigger competitor. They wanted Spirit to go bankrupt. @SenWarren was happy to help force the bankruptcy.
This is bad for the common man.
English

@Tsucks6432 @InsiderWire Because it’s not actually high-speed rail, Brightline is larping. Building real high speed rail would’ve required a larger investment so they went the cheaper route which was building an ever so slightly faster Amtrak.
English

@InsiderWire If high speed rail is so awesome why doesnt anyone use it? Check mate libtards
English

#BREAKING: Florida’s sleek high-speed rail Brightline seeks bailout, raising concerns about bankruptcy.

English

@roboxking1 @ThisDud30190229 @Politics_PR @SecDuffy JetBlue and Spirit merging isn’t a monopoly. Do you know what would’ve worked out? Thousands of jobs would still be around. What do you say to the flight attendants and pilots out of a job?
English

@ThisDud30190229 @Politics_PR @SecDuffy If the merger happened there still wouldn't have been a spirit airlines as it would have been absorbed into JetBlue. When do monopolies ever work out for the consumer?
