Watching Forest on a... any night of the week 🤯 That Friday morning feeling has hit like a jolt. Not just the usual end-of-week relief, but something bigger. Belief. Proper belief. One step closer to a Europa League Final in less than 3 weeks time… suddenly it doesn’t feel like a joke to say out loud. Shit... shit’s getting real! A few weeks ago, it didn’t look like this. Braga in the rain feels like a lifetime ago, it wasn’t. It was one of the worst performances we’ve seen in years. Players took stick, manager took stick, and rightly so. It was there for everyone to see. Then came Brighton away. Flat, lifeless, and the away end felt it. That quiet acceptance crept in: maybe this is it, maybe our 4 seasons in the sun would be coming to an abrupt end. Then City away. Same story… until it wasn’t. That was the moment. Morgan Gibbs-White and Anderson dragged us out of it. Not just a result - a shift. Since then, everything’s changed. Back on the horse. Different energy. Different edge. Anderson last night? Ridiculous. Given what he’s dealing with off the pitch, that performance tells you everything. Proper mentality. Proper professional. If he goes in the summer, he goes the right way. And MGW… what more is there to say? I’ve said it from day one, he’s not just our best player, he IS the team! Thankfully, the numbers are catching up for those who need stats to see it. We’ve known. We’ve seen it. Every big moment, every turning point - he’s fucking there. For me, it clicked at Brighton. When the fans sang “he’s playing on his own.” Whether it changed anything internally, it doesn’t matter. From that point on, something shifted. Enter Vitor Pereira’s input. Personality. Standards. Steel. Simple as that. Since then, we’ve passed every test. Not always pretty, not always dominant but we’ve found a way. That’s what good players and good teams do. People talk about the Europa League like it’s nothing. Say we’ll get found out. Same people backing Spurs to stay up at our expense despite them doing nothing all year. Football doesn’t work like that. Last night proved it. We beat one of the best teams in our so called standard bearing league - and we deserved it. Of course, MGW was at the centre of it. Creating play, to force an opportunity, to win... That’s the constant. Managers change, players come and go, owners make noise but when he’s driving it, everything connects. Everything and anything feels possible. Epitomised none more so than the Burnley game, when staring down the barrel, again, he grabbed the game and said “not on my watch,” Leadership. Quality. Pride... dragging up the standard of others, and others standards! We don’t ask for miracles as fans. Just effort. Commitment. Something to believe in. Right now we’ve got all three. Munich. Madrid. We remember what they did! As mentioned already, things change in football quickly - we may get beat next week by a good Aston Villa side but...
