@UcheMaryOkoli I think it's in the matter of conception. Jesus wasn't 'conceived' by fertilisation in Mary. He, as God, pre-existed Mary. So the term 'mother' kinda gives the vibe of 'conceiving' God. But I think the Catholic doctrine is clear on what they mean by 'mother', and they're correct

I instantly get irritated when I hear Protestants say that Mary is not the Mother of God after they have admitted under the same breath that Jesus is God and Mary birthed Jesus. I've never seen this kind contradiction from prots in my entire life. How will you admit that Jesus is God, Mary birthed Jesus, who is God, and still say that Mary is not the Mother of God?? I need someone to explain it to me please how Mary is not the Mother of God, but she birthed Jesus, who is God!
