Breastfeeding is a multi-sensory experience. We would be really interested to see research looking at sensory difficulties and preterm infants who were breastfed. We feel that the deep pressure and positive sensory experiences would over-ride some of the negative experiences.

@dralexstevenson @NeoResearch_Net Support the maternal milk supply , and give whatever colostrum -concentrated nutrition you have , you say elbw but what gestation? Can you use some iv fluids to support for a short time ? If we’ll supported and previously breast fed mum may come to volume sooner ?
