Burnham — the so-called “King of the North” — stonewalls them, shuts down calls for a proper public inquiry, and prioritises “community relations” over the broken bodies and shattered lives of working-class white girls targeted by grooming gangs. Greater Manchester Police failed these victims catastrophically. Files ignored. This is the same Andy Burnham who, as Mayor, refused to discipline senior officers who looked the other way.
