We’re pleased to be back in Baghdad to update @cbiraq Governor HE Ali Al Alaq and his team on #MyAccount and other payment initiatives. CBI continues to back #MyAccount, which is in line w/ CBI’s strategy to increase financial inclusion, promote digital payments and reduce cash.

Goal: one million Kurdistanis bankable by the end of 2024. It will be met.

Our team connected a local exporter with Kurdistani beekeepers and helped fill gaps in the value chain: testing, packaging, logistics, buyers, clearances etc. Qatar Airway planes now leave Erbil with cargo, creating trade with the Gulf and a scalable model for other exporters.

Pomegranates grown by Kurdish farmers in Kurdistan are making their mark in markets as far away as France and the United Kingdom. In a remarkable achievement, 100 tons of these excellent pomegranates have been successfully exported and an ambitious export target of 1,000 tons has been set for this year. This achievement highlights the high quality products and hard work of Kurdish farmers and shows the export potential of the Kurdistan Region's agricultural products to international markets. #InvestKurdistan #Agriculture #Exports
