We modeled an M 7.1 earthquake in Hyuganada Sea, Japan, on 8 August 2024 by a joint inversion of offshore tsunami and onshore geodetic data, and we discussed the interplate seismic coupling in this region.

Our new paper on JGR
We investigated T waves from successive tsunamigenic events near Sofu Seamount. Our main conclusion is that accompanying seismic events during tsunamigenic events should be at depths ≤0.5 km below the seafloor

Our new paper is now out in GRL. We estimated the source kinematics of a tsunami event around Japan in October 2023. Its tsunami source was identified as multiple seafloor uplifts within a few hours, related to the volcanic unrest of a submarine caldera. doi.org/10.1029/2024GL…
