There were multiple-casualty shootings yesterday in Dadeville, Alabama, and Louisville, Kentucky. In 2020, Alabama's homicide rate was 14.2 per 100,000. Kentucky's was 9.5. Yet House Republicans are having their violent crime hearing Monday in New York--where the rate was 4.7.
