@ShakiraRHobbs These are important statistics, but I think it’s critical to point out the number isn’t ONLY 35% get tenure, rather it’s married women are 35% less likely than married men to get tenure (27% with kids). So of 75% of married men get tenure then only 50% of women do.

Ok tenure-track moms out there. I learned that only 35% of married moms in the sciences get tenure. I asked the presenter/mentor what can be done to increase these #s. She said stop cleaning toilets (aka hire someone to clean) & and hire someone to cook my meals. @Momademia

Ironic that many of the companies using PFAS DWRs are outdoor companies with products used by environmental enthusiasts. Many companies are trying to improve (pfascentral.org/pfas-free-prod…), but where are big companies like @thenorthface @Columbia1938 @Nike etc. at? (6/6)

Some companies like @patagonia are now using PFAS-free DWRs, but even they admit they cannot avoid their use with critical pieces like raingear. They state they are working on that as well though. (5/6)

Disappointing to see textile companies still using PFAS durable water repellents (DWRs) when safer alternatives exist. I think a lot of it stems from their ignorance about what they are using and what is safe. Here is a fitting example from @tombihn, a bag manufacturer (1/6)

@watermicrobe Watch the full clip first instead of spreading a snippet that changes the narrative. The question to the reporter was why are they letting in refugees now but not before (eg Syria). She correctly points out that refugees were denied entry because of their skin color and religion.

@JeremyGuest Why use a name at all then? If I send an email, then it is no mystery to who it is to. I typically start with "Hi name" if anything for the same reason I don’t answer phone with a name 😂. But this is why I prefer the informal form of slack and teams...right to the point!
