Did anyone play MLB Showdown - the card game? It was basically Pokemon cards but baseball. It was an actual game with 20-sided dice, strategy cards, etc. Very fun game that unfortunately flamed out.

@Andrew_FBB What rounds do you typically quantify as heavier draft capital?

I’m not sure who needs to hear this. We don’t drop players we invested heavy draft capital in because of a slow start.

My thoughts on guys who made the cut: ⚾️Early makes the OD roster and I think it's because the Red Sox are not happy with where Bello and Suarez are due to the WBC. It remains to be seen who claims that 5th starter role between him and Oviedo. They may even go 6 man - which is my guess. One of their best young arms, I don't know if he sticks around for long but I hope I'm wrong. Just be cautious before you put in a crazy bid for him. ⚾️Fuentes makes the Braves OD roster and I've been very big on this. I LOVE the talent, I really do. It has been reported that even with the Strider injury, the Braves plan for him is unchanged. He will be sent back down to the minors to be stretched out as a starter sometime in April. In the meantime, and before that happens, I think he will piggyback, opener, etc. Not to yuck anyone's yums but I think there will be a lot of disappointment here. Is he talented? Of course! But he's only 20. I really do think they will limit his innings. He's never thrown more than 75 innings in any one season between the majors and minors. I want him next year, but this year, while he's up for however long that is, he could be a good source of Ks and cheap wins. I would REALLY temper expectations and not live too high off his ST. ⚾️McGonigle is still TBD. Looks like the Tigers are taking this down to the wire. I expect a decision today on if he makes the team. I really do think that he makes this team. He's earned it. Not sure what the benefit is in waiting to make this call but all the signs point to him making it. ⚾️Wetherholt makes the Cardinals team. He's cooled off to end ST. Only hit .212 but we saw the upside. I would temper expectations, like all rookies. I love him so much but I'm curious to how he starts the season. Baltimore native!

@kdpierce_90 Power is likely to be down because of it. No risk of missing significant time, but I'd need a discount. I'll go in a different direction this year

With early draft picks, your process should be looking more at what could go wrong, not what could go right. Then later you flip it. Early picks should be safe with little to no holes. Later, you should be looking to take more risks for the big upside because if you lose late picks but have a sturdy foundation, you're still in it.
