The incident began with a physical altercation among students. Two 14-year-olds, Pedro Pascual-Perez and Pedro Perez-Jimenez, gave their backpacks containing the guns to 15-year-old Francisco Ramos-Pedro and 14-year-old Charlin Silvan-Carmen to hide.
