@kdwalter @zd7pmz2m52 @flightradar24 An expert would tell you that the ground speed cannot be correct. Planes do not fly at 50 kph. They fall. And that's not what the altitude indicates.
So at least one of the two data, possibly both, are incorrect.

Last night we tracked a Ilyushin Il-76T flight over Syria.
The flight took off from Damascus and the signal was lost near the city of Homs.
* We can confirm that flight took place.
* The aircraft was old with an older transponder generation, so some data might be bad or missing.
* The aircraft was flying in an area of GPS jamming, so some data might be bad.
* Still we believe that the data in general give a quite good indication of what happened with the aircraft.
* We are not aware of any airports in the area where the signal was lost.
