Today morning we held a successful press briefing for our #KeepYourLandKeepYourSeed campaign at Hotel Africana! With a strong turnout from our partners and the media, we engaged in insightful discussions about preserving our land and indigenous seeds for future generations.

It was indeed exciting for the community in Amolatar District to engage with some indigenous seeds/foods that they had not seen in a long time. Thank you FAPAD, for organising the 2nd Indigenous Seed and Food Fair. #KeepYourLandKeepYourSeed

The @keepyourland is a campaign initiative that aims at restoring the lost local/indigenous seeds and restore the lost land productivity for food sovereignty. Feel free to join the campaign coordinated by @LEMU 💪💪🎊🎊🎊

We joined partners under the "Keep Your Land, Keep Your Seed Campaign" hosted by @LEMU_Uganda at the Adamasiko Community Seed Bank in Soroti. Members of the Ojom Oculoi Olwelai Joint Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd, Soroti which manages the seed bank shared their experiences from activities they do such as lobbying and advocacy, seed multiplication, seed banking, selling seeds to farmers, capacity building sessions, and other activities. The "Keep Your Land, Keep Your Seed" campaign intends to tackle land issues, while addressing food insecurity and to enhance exchange and reproduction by establishing a directory to create networks with other seed banks within the Teso sub-region.

'The campaign envisions to create a directory where farmers in different regions such as Teso, Lango, Acholi, and elsewhere in Uganda can exchange indigenous seeds among themselves to enhance and broaden preservation of such seeds' Dr. Theresa Auma. #KeepYourLandKeepYourSeed
