I’ve worked with 500+ ecom brands doing 6-7 figures per month and the ones that fail all make the same mistake with their offer. They don’t communicate it clearly. Not through bad copywriting or a weak value prop, but by assuming the buyer understands what they’re looking at when they land on the page. Most buyers arrive with intent but no clarity. They know they have a problem or a desire but they don’t know if your product solves it, how it’s different from the other five tabs they have open, or why they should buy it now instead of later. And instead of guiding them through that decision, most brands just throw information at them and hope it sticks. They list features. They add testimonials. They mention awards or certifications or ingredients or whatever else they think builds credibility, but none of it connects to the actual reason someone would buy. The offer isn’t the product. The offer is the frame around the product that makes it intelligible and desirable. Read that again. If someone lands on your page and has to work to understand what you’re selling, who it’s for, or why it matters, you’ve already lost them. The brands that win are the ones that make the offer so clear that the decision feels obvious. Not through manipulation, but by removing all the friction between intent and action. They answer the questions the buyer has before the buyer even has to ask them. They show them exactly what they’re getting, why it’s valuable, and what happens next. Most brands treat their landing page like a product showcase when it should be a decision-making environment. The buyer shouldn’t have to interpret anything. They should just know. If your conversion rate is low and your traffic is decent, the problem isn’t your product or your price or your audience. It’s that your offer isn’t clear enough to convert intent into action. Fix the clarity and everything else gets easier.
