We made a blind taste test to see whether NYT readers prefer human writing or AI writing. 86,000 people have taken it so far, and the results are fascinating. Overall, 54% of quiz-takers prefer AI. A real moment! nytimes.com/interactive/20…

If you’re downplaying the humanoid robot economy, you’re making the same mistake some people made about the internet in 1993. The infrastructure is being built right before your eyes.

The deeper I go into medicine, the more I appreciate the wisdom we’ve known all along: optimizing sleep, diet, and exercise remains the most powerful way to improve health.

someone connected LIVING BRAIN CELLS to an LLM Cortical Labs grew 200,000 human neurons in a lab and kept them alive on a silicon chip, they taught the neurons to play Pong, then DOOM now someone wired them into a LLM... real brain cells firing electrical impulses to choose every token the AI generates you can see which channels were stimulated, the feedback from the neurons in choosing that letter or word

It helps with tailoring therapies to each individual across many subspecialties. Prior to AI assistance, we tended to only stay in our respective lanes (in my case, pain medicine). Now I can safely expand to help start patients on therapies from other fields, then provide appropriate workups and referrals. This in turn improves outcomes. The real bonus is that all is being done with the same amount of time I would have spent in the past. So patient care is both efficient and expanding.
