HOT TAKE: I’m NOT offended by the meme. President Trump has clarified that he’s not trying to be Jesus Christ. I do think people are using this as an excuse to grandstand. The reaction to this feels over the top compared to what’s actually happening in the church.

Trump has been exceedingly patient with the podcasters; too patient, frankly. I agree that disunity is horrible in the run-up to the midterms. But it's on the podcasters to stop acting like complete clowns, if they still care about the coalition at all.

@MattWalshBlog You're right, except that you've miscalculated about Tucker, Megyn, etc. They arent full anti-Trump. They actually agree with most of what Trump has done. They are just being intellectually honest on one issue: Iran. You're closer to them. Have courage and stand with them.

Some big names have shifted full anti-Trump. Others are full pro-Trump and insist that he can never be criticized and anyone who questions him or expresses any skepticism about anything he does is a traitor to the cause. Fewer and fewer prominent figures on the right are staking out the only actual sane position, which is that Trump is a politician who sometimes we will agree with and sometimes we will not agree with, and our right and responsibility as Americans is to be honest in either case.

The business of politics is nasty, ugly, and at times humiliating. There’s something very attractive about the sport of politics, but it’s not for everyone. One day you’re a rockstar. The next, you’re a laughingstock. That said, firing Pam Bondi was the right move. The Epstein files were mishandled from the start. And the buck stops with her. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage."
