This would be beautiful headcase matchmaking. Two guys with confidence/headcase issues on the slope with fairly obvious plans that should work against the other in a way that makes them look shit. Low kick and wrestle for Leon, pressure and get in the pocket for JDM.

It's crazy how much JDM show's pain when he's fighting. I never seen a fighter do that before, they usually try to keep a serious face even when really hurt. But has soon as jdm starts losing it looks like torture. Actually makes me feel bad for the guy.

he does not deserve the shot right now. He has one top level win over Sean Brady. That just isn’t enough.

The critcal points are fight IQ, skill, technique and experience that separate these two is exactly what people said about Paulo Costa fighting Israel Adesanya Morales is big, Morales is Strong, Morales is fast all great attributes but if the brain behind it is not well trained it means nothing just a punchers chance. Carlos Prates is too dynamic of a fighter, too smart, too technical and skilled for Morales to be able to utilise his strengths he will just get beaten using purely Muay Thai along with Carlos’s excellent distant management which is why he will lose. The UFC won’t make this fight now either as Morales has to potential to be a star in time and putting him against Carlos Prates for a non title fight will take away his 0, they will likely look for a more favourable match up for Morales like Kumaru Usman who has a name value or the winner of Sean Brady vs Joaquin Buckley to further boost his profile whilst Carlos fights for the title or fights after Ian Garry fights Islam. Right now it appears the UFC are trying to push Carlos Prates to potentially leapfrog Ian Garry to fight Islam hence them not officially announcing the fight between Islam Makhachev and Ian Garry.
