The @bonzo_finance pause explained: Supra oracle bug — not Hedera or Bonzo core 🧐 Someone exploited a bug in the @SUPRA_Labs oracle on Hedera. They deposited a few hundred real $SAUCE → pushed a fake price update (zero BLS sig passed via Hedera precompile edge case) → borrowed ~$9M (6.6M USDC + 34M+ wHBAR). ✅ Supra’s fault: bug in their oracle verifier contract (poor input validation). ❌ Not Bonzo’s fault: their lending logic worked exactly as designed. ❌ Not a Hedera network issue: the precompile did its math job — no core protocol bug. Bonzo paused Lend as precaution. Supra already fixed their side. Working on remediation. Classic DeFi oracle risk. Stay frosty and don’t panic $HBAR

We’re sorry to see users affected by the Bonzo Lend incident. We know this is unsettling across @Hedera. No SaucerSwap V1/V2 exploit has been identified. SaucerSwap remains operational. We’re monitoring closely and supporting the ecosystem response. Bonzo’s preliminary report attributes the incident to a third-party oracle verifier. For clarity on a question raised in the community: SaucerSwap Labs cannot pause its permissionless pools. Taking the interface offline would not prevent direct contract calls or access through other interfaces, while removing access for everyday users and liquidity providers. We’ll continue supporting the ecosystem response and keep the community informed as more is confirmed.

Recently $HBAR was included in an ISDA & GDF study for tokenized money market funds Other participants included: • BlackRock • BitGo • BNY • CME • SWIFT • JP Morgan • Archax Both TradFi & Web3 Finance leaders. And the DLTs selected? Ethereum & Hedera Hashgraph This is quite an eye opening list. As we've known, Ethereum has been tested across various institutional use cases due to their long standing of being a leading L1. But Hedera, has moreso been reserved for specific cases in finance by specific TradFi players. Quite interesting to see they're the ONLY other DLT leveraged in here. But also remember, Hedera has already proven viable utility for tokenized MMFs at the institutional level. Just a few months back we saw Hedera in the UK x EU tokenized collateral trial by Global Digital Finance too. Now Hedera's becoming a preferred choice here🔑
