@TheRealJamieKay They are not far right, they are people who are not hard left, you know anybody who doesn’t run around with a Palestine flag or some other cause which has no relevance to the UK… people who work and can’t spend all day wandering around protesting.. people who are proud of the UK

For the record - I have no issue with the British flag. But what I do take issue with is how it’s been hijacked by the far-right to promote hate.

@politixintheuk I think it’s fair to say she loathes any party that are not far left, and what she thinks will make not one jot of difference to anybody

Carol Vorderman says she "loathes" Reform and is encouraging everyone - especially women - to vote in the local elections! She said: “I absolutely loathe Reform. I loathe them to the very cell of my being. All they want is division. And they lie. The scale of the hypocrisy is insurmountable. They say, ‘We are the party of the working people’, but I couldn't think of any party, even the Conservatives, that are worse than them.” And of Farage, she added: "He's just so thin-skinned. But people are beginning to see him for who he is." Source: Mirror

@narindertweets Sorry but that is just rubbish, Leicester hosted parliaments in 1318, 1414 and 1450, was frequented by by Kings and their courts and was doing fabulously well before immigration thank you

@TheWorldOfHayes @stuey_beef I have a good pal who worked and decided he didn’t like getting up early, was advised in the pub how to get a pip and other bens, you have paid in so do what everybody else is doing, he now spends most afternoons in the pub, and there is nothing wrong with him, a 100% true story

It genuinely feels like we now live in two different countries. In one Britain, people drag themselves to work, pay eye‑watering taxes, National Insurance, council tax, energy bills, travel costs – and still stare at their bank balance wondering how they’re going to afford new shoes for the kids. In the other Britain, a growing army are parked on benefits with rising sickness and disability claims, pulling in combined payments that can beat a full‑time wage and then stacking extra perks, from cut‑price bills to leisure and lifestyle discounts, on top. The same government that says it is “cash‑strapped” and “tough choices” for services somehow finds endless billions for a welfare system its own Prime Minister now calls “unsustainable, indefensible and unfair” – but the only people expected to swallow it are the workers footing the bill. We pay. They benefit. That’s the deal. And it is ripping any sense of basic solidarity to shreds.

🚨 Barcelona sporting director Deco has reportedly informed Marcus Rashford that the club do not plan to keep him beyond this season, even at a reduced fee. The Manchester United loanee is not viewed as the right tactical fit and is believed to have fallen short of expectations. As a result, a permanent deal now appears highly unlikely, with Barcelona unwilling to meet the reported £30 million valuation to secure his transfer. [@ElNacionalWeb] #mufc

You won't hear a peep about this from Farage, Tice or Jenrick. Under the Tories, up to 400 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers. With Labour, there are now just 185, with 11 more hotels re-opening to the public, saving the taxpayer £65 million a year.
Alex Norris MP@AlexJJNorris

There were more than 400 asylum hotels under the previous government – that number has been more than halved, with 11 more closing this week. Labour is bringing the asylum system under control.

Brutal honesty from Lautaro del Campo on Marcus Rashford: 👀 “Do you know why you haven’t won major titles in your career? Why you have zero Premier League titles with Manchester United? Because you have to put your foot in here, man. These are the matches where you have to SHOW UP. These are the games. This is what you’re at FC Barcelona for. And honestly, it frustrates me, man. I see Fermín López still bleeding literally bleeding from his face takes a minute to recover and gets back on the pitch. I don’t question Rashford’s quality. I question his mentality and desire. He gets a chance in the box he should lift his head and make the right decision… but what does he do? Does he look up? NO. Head down, plays it into the middle. Come on, Marcus! He’s been playing first-division football since he was 17. These are the matches where you have to make the difference. Let me be real: Rashford has quality, no doubt. But over the two legs, Ademola Lookman outplayed him. He had one chance… ONE… and he scored. Rashford had FIVE in the first leg and didn’t score any.”
