Yesterday's announcement that "the Comets were returning" made it sound like the name issue had been resolved. That should have been clarified.

The Houston Comets held their first media availability just now. Asked about the availability of the "Comets" name (the league is currently engaged in a trademark dispute over it), Rockets president of business operations Gretchen Sheirr said: "We feel very good that we're using Comets. I won't go into much detail -- that process is run by the WNBA -- but we feel very confident."

@mntwins020733 Part of me thinks Cheryl could fix her defensively, but you’re probably right. I do still like the idea of Fam with Howard and Dorka as stop gap measures while she develops. Also good with Betts. Legitimately have no idea where Cheryl’s going to go with this one.
