@WilliamUSMC59 @ZBerm He’s a very solid player. You’ll enjoy him. Very boring safety, which I say as a positive

Re: keeping Reed Blankenship at $8.25M/year — Howie Roseman first praised Blankenship and the development during Blankenship's career and noted how much the Eagles like Blankenship.
He then made the point that decisions must be made in free agency with incomplete info — "based on where you are in the moment and some of the things that you're trying to do" and that it could "preclude you from doing something else that you want to do down the road."
He didn't want it to make it specifically about Blankenship, but my read on it was that the Eagles were not prepared to commit that much to the player/position at that stage of free agency. (Left unsaid is what else they were working on at the time.)
So my read on it: Looking back at the puzzle after the fact, it's probably a contract that could have fit better than in the moment.

@ZachCohenFB good point, imagine packers last team who have not yet converted does the same thing and the TV numbers shrink also , can’t let that happen

English

No team’s TV numbers annoy me more than Carolina’s
In 2019, the Panthers switched to the Nike “Vapor Untouchable” uniform template (the 2nd-to-last team to do so)
The new fabric & stitching design forced the numbers down to a much smaller size, and it bugs me every time I watch them play lmao

Jack@jackhibbert34
@ZachCohenFB Every team should have them, besides maybe the Chargers bc of the helmet numbers. Looks especially bad on Denver because they have plenty of room on the shoulders.

Rangers first baseman Jake Burger, on Cristopher Sanchez: "I think we saw why he was a runner up in Cy Young last year. His changeup has the same shape and tightness to the ball as his sinker. He gets guys off balance really easy with that. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done against him. .... Obviously he's an ace. He's a bonafide superstar in the game."

Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson releases a statement ahead of the NBA expansion vote
“Seattle is ready to welcome the Sonics home. We never stopped being a basketball city, and the fans have never given up. You see it in our parks, in our schools, in packed gyms in every neighborhood, and in our Seattle Storm championships. We built a world-class arena. We have a strong economy and a dedicated workforce. We are prepared, we are united, and we are ready for the next chapter of our Sonics.”

@AdamSchefter Contracts starting to get absurd and unrealistic

ESPN Sources: Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history.
The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver.
The deal was confirmed by @WINSportsGroup.

“Project Hail Mary” is bringing audiences to movie theaters in numbers the industry hasn’t seen for a non-franchise film since “Oppenheimer.” abcnews.link/zYHruDL

@Wcinam_Benzo44 @Crypto_Pank @MoviesThatMaher because horror has historically gotten so many nominations

@Crypto_Pank @MoviesThatMaher I didnt said it was good. I said that it was made specifically for purpose of getting nominations.

About a year ago I watched Sinners in IMAX and thought to myself that this was one of the most amazing movies I’ve seen in a long time, It’s a film that will never be recognized by the Oscars especially with it releasing in March…. Well didn’t that turn out differently. Jordan winning Best Actor was a great achievement.
Today I watched #ProjectHailMary and I have to say that this film absolutely moved me and Ryan Gosling gave a career best performance, history can’t repeat itself again can it? I don’t know what 2026 will bring but it’s gonna be hard to top this.

@CandlestickJas we are not the ones grabbing dudes nuts

I feel bad for Jauan Jennings.
Enters the NFL as a 7th round pick making league minimum. Nearly wins Super Bowl MVP in a contract year, which would've led to a major payday, but instead has to settle for a low-end contract extension. Gets ejected in the final game of 2024, robbing him of his first 1,000-yard season. And now that he's finally ready to collect his money, the WR market crashes after 5 years of ridiculous contracts being handed out.

@Smoggy01 @AdamSchefter @marcraimondi i think this trade can benefit both teams. we really wanted sydney to do well, he’s a physical specimen, introspective when he talks and his twin brother is a fantasy darling. but dude made so many mental errors when he played, may need a new system that requires less thinking
Camden, NJ 🇺🇸 English

@AdamSchefter @marcraimondi So let me get this straight… Falcons get a former 3rd round talent and picks and people think they lost? 😂

@MySportsUpdate @AdamSchefter Did Philly get real value in the swap… or did Atlanta quietly steal a future starter?
English

Trade: The #Eagles are trading S Sydney Brown and picks No. 122 and No. 215 to the #Falcons for picks No. 114 and No. 197, per @AdamSchefter.

@nurseblondie17 @screenrant she keeps the coffee pot flowing which is on point (former charge nurse here)
Camden, NJ 🇺🇸 English

@screenrant The only thing that surprises me with Dana is how little they show her doing pt care—fyi I am a nurse. I understand the role of charge. It’s just often IRL I feel like you see them stepping in ti place a difficult line, etc etc and she is more admin. She is training Emma tho
English

EXCLUSIVE: Dr. David Shapiro, a real-life surgeon, explains how Dana from #ThePitt is the most realistic representation of a "seasoned ER nurse" any medical media has showcased:
"She is it, and I know about 15 Dana's out there in my experience who do the same thing that she does, and have been hit by patients and have experienced that."
