Truer words have never been spoken. The system is broken. In 🇨🇦 you have 2 types of 🏒 parents: those with 💵 & those that borrow it. I lived it & was thrilled when my son said he wanted to prioritize 🏈 because I knew eventually I’d have to tap out of 🏒. There was a time when kids made a decision at 16 to leave home to play Jr hockey. Now that choice comes at 13 to move to an academy. The days when you could grow up on the farm & simply work hard in your local association & get discovered are long gone. On top of that, when the kids eventually make it to the top levels, the entitlement is often off the charts👇🏽

Going to say something a bit controversial. Hockey in Canada has become a wealthy parents sport and the world Jr. is showing it for team Canada - no hard working, lunch pail, head down and grind your way in life kids playing - all wealthy kids zero heart.
