Solidarity with fellow GPSTs impacted by @rcgp’s decision to exclude them from the #RCA exam that they’ve been preparing for for months & invested £££ & hours in. This decision will disproportionately affect LTFT trainees, ACFs and anyone not on a straightforward training path.

A huge amount of time, energy, money and stress has already been invested in preparing for April’s submission date. This decision needs reversing or an additional sitting offered ASAP. To allow this decision to go ahead displays a complete disregard towards us future GPs. 3/3

Preparation for these exams starts many months in advance. We too have other commitments they we have rearranged, postponed and carefully planned around to sit this exam in April. 2/3

I completely agree! I have a strong sense of vocation, but none of us signed up to the “ultimate sacrifice” or any other unhelpful names for dying at work. It’s an Occupational Health issue and should be seen as such, like deaths falling off ladders on building sites.
