@shrikanth_krish It's gaḍḍam in Telugu. gaḍḍa is a root vegetable.

In both colloquial Tamil and Malayalam, the word for beard is Indo-Aryan - "dADi" - same as what it is in most or all North Indian languages However Kannada and Telugu seem to perfer the Dravidian origin "gaDDa"
